Bill Maher Rages At Christian Hypocrites

I would like to add MY story to this wonderful commentary by Bill Maher.  (Which can be seen by clicking the link at the bottom.)

My first hand example of being exposed to such people.   . . . .

 I am an entertainer.  I do magic and balloons at restaurants as well as at parties.  Last week I was working at a restaurant doing magic and balloons at the tables.  One of the tables only had a few people, a couple of kids, too, so I assumed not everyone was there yet.  While they were waiting for others to arrive I decided to go over and make balloons for the kids that were there.  The woman at the table rudely said they did not want me there.  So I left but said if they change their minds to let me know.  Later that evening one of the wait people told me that the table in question wanted me to come over.  I made balloons animals for all the kids.  Now, I thought maybe something was a "little different" about these people because the older girl was wearing a very plain blouse and a plain skirt down to her feet.  One of the other younger girls looked, well, kind of like someone from "Deliverance.  Maybe a little inbred.  Hate to say that, but that was my impression.  The only man at the table was wearing a cowboy hat.  

Well, after they all got balloons I started doing a little magic for them.  When I made bunnies appear in the older girl's hand she looked scared and said that they didn't believe in magic.  I tried to explain to the kids AND the adults that this is NOT magic, it is simply tricks and entertainment, like when they go to the movies, Superman can't REALLY fly!  They would have no part of it.  

Then as a "TIP" the older girl gave me a little pamphlet.  The man in the cowboy hat said it was about Jesus.  Not being TOO RUDE I just put it on the table, said "no", and walked away.  I then went to the next table and everyone was laughing and enjoying my entertainment.  Looking back at the table full of sad faces, all I could think was what a shame that these kids must grow up with fear as their guide in life.  Oh, and that attempting to convert me instead of tipping me is there way of saying thank you.  Sick.  Sorry, I have no patience for these people.  Go drink your cool-aid.

Looks like the dominoes are starting to fall, huh.  Or maybe a better analogy would be that the Tea Party's house of cards are starting to fall. . . . Oh, and the archaic Religious Right (which should be called the Religious Wrong) will soon loose to science and reason and go the way of the dinosaur.

Rep. Michele Bachmann declares that we are in the End Times: 'His day is at hand.'

Yes, this is EXACTLY what all this is about. The Republican Tea Party said from the beginning that they wanted Obama to fail and be a one term President no matter what. Well, people, they have tried everything, including every negative lie they could make up, to no avail. 

They have disrupted and harmed the American people for years; now they are holding us hostage and actually doing their best to ruin the country just to get their way. AND STILL, there are those of you who are supporting this!!!!! Why? 

. . . Obama WAS born in America, is a citizen, and is NOT a Muslim. Honest. He wants what is best for the country and the future, which, yes, includes HIS CHILDREN living in this country. 

Please. Give it up!!!!!! This runaway train must crash.

And don't get me started on Romney and Ryan's anti-gay anti-women agendas. 

Shudder. They think we all should live by what THEY "believe". 

(Sorry Obama is biracial. Such a crime in the South, huh. . . . . The man is 

damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.) . . . 

Interesting that when people were opposed to Bush attacking Iraq, starting the 

oppressive Patriot Act, and borrowing so much money from China to support 

the wars that it threw us into a depression, they were being called traitors but 

those who were calling them traitors and un-American are the ones who are 

now spreading actual LIES about Obama, (vicious, hateful words). They think of 

themselves as righteous Christian Americans. Very interesting . . . .

I am not a Democrat or a Republican. Just walking around with common sense 

and observing without being influenced by certain news medias and self-

righteous and narrow minded religious organizations. (Tea Parties are for little 

girls with imaginary friends.)

121 Million People On Food Stamps

"The news just said there are 121 million people on Food Stamps. No wonder we are in the shape we are."

Someone posted this on facebook.  Now, here is my response:

The way to look at it is that there ARE people who are getting them that never thought they would have too, and THAT is the RESULT of the shape our country is in.  NOT the other way around.  

It all started with a war being started that should have NOT been started, then borrowing money from China to support that unnecessary war, then bringing down the interest rate so people who should not be buying homes making is possible for them to  buy homes, then RAISING the interest rates so those people could no long pay their mortgage, then the banks foreclosing on those homes rather than simply keeping the interest rates low, then the government BAILING OUT THE BANKS, rather than telling the banks to keep the interest rates low.  Sigh.  

Then, the unions demanding more money for their members to the point companies could no longer afford to pay the workers, so they started hiring non union, which, yes, included illegal aliens, because they know how to live on less that spoiled union workers.  The result is unemployment.  Then people can’t afford to buy American made products by union workers who still gouge their employers, so people buy cheaper products from China.  Then that results in companies not making enough to pay their UNION workers, so more UNION workers get laid off.

And that, dear Bush lovers, is trickle down economics.

Oh, all this led to me loosing EVERYTHING, and I mean EVERYTHING.  My building and all the money I put into it.  Having to claim Chapter 13 bankruptcy, living in a small 3rd floor apartment, no health insurance, and not much work.  I am NOT ashamed to say that I go the county hospital for my health care.  The care is actually a LOT better than what I was paying for with Blue-Cross!!!!

Now, don’t get me started on insurance companies!  At least NOW they are having to change their policies because people actually have a choice with The Affordable Health Care Act.

Remember, you have to walk in a man’s (woman’s) shoes before you can judge them.

2nd Amendment

OK, on guns.  I have guns.  I like guns.  I have no fear that the government will be taking them away.  The 2nd Amendment is in tact.  A little story here:  I have a friend whose cousin and husband were shot and killed in front of their 9 year old child.  They were killed by a man who had been released from prison and had LEGALLY bought a gun without a background check.   By the way, he had been in prison for murder with a gun he had also bought LEGALLY without a background check. This is ALL that is being asked.  Background checks.  NOT getting rid of the 2nd Amendment.  

However, the people who are posting this crap are really wanting all the weapons they can have to arm themselves against the current administration.  HUH???  I can’t wait to see what they will be saying when a Republican is in the White House.  Not a peep came from them when Bush took more rights away from us than ANY President, and starting imprisoning people without cause.  Just because they MIGHT be associated with someone who might know someone whose relative might know someone who might be Saudi Arabian.  (OK, OK, so I exaggerate a little, but just a little.)

The above is the type of nonsense I was trying to avoid by starting a different Facebook page.  I only invited people who, may have different political views, life styles, but I respected.  We need different views.  We need to share information. I was just hoping not to have to be rolling my eyes every day as I opened Facebook.  I believe to ignore and do nothing is to condone, so on my old page I kept attempting to add reason to this type of ridiculous narrow minded befuddled thinking.  I got really tired of asking people to actually listen to the facts as they are presented by DIFFERENT sources rather than running amuck after watching FOX.  Believing anything that strengthened their hate for this administration, true or not true.  Exaggerated  and fear mongering. . . .  

But, alas, it does no good to attempt to have people who have not ventured outside their little nest to learn anything beyond their preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual  thinking.   There is no compromise.  There is no discussion.  Just their "opinion".  Not facts.  Just opinion.  Very sad.  I realized I was just wasting my time.  They actually WANTED to believe the worst, so any pig in a poke would do.  Twisted little pigs in twisted little pokes keeping their panties in twisted little knots.

Impeach the Bogus Potus

Let's get real here.  Bush lied and started a war that should not have been started. Then Cheney made millions through his business because of the war. Bush ignored 30 odd embassy attacks. Bush took more of our rights away with the “Patriot Act” than any President in history. Yet, you people think he walked on water.

Wake up and smell the coffee. Stop tearing this country apart with your hatred and come together. We have enough enemies outside this country. You people are petty. And by the way . . . the 2nd Amendment was not, is not, being attacked. Do you people ever read or listen to anything when it is actually said, or do you simply listen to what FOX News feeds you through their bimbo actresses reading the script their bosses write for them?

Oh, and that “funds Al Qaeda” crap . . . the U.S. funded Ben Laden when he was fighting the Russians in Afghanistan. Guess what, Obama was not President then, was he? Educate yourselves instead of hating what you know nothing about. And not even going to comment on how BUSH did a hell of a lot more than “agitate” other countries! Geeeeez.

Pope Francis On Gay Marriage

Pope Francis on the Argentinian government’s support for a gay marriage bill:

“Let’s not be naive: this isn’t a simple political fight, it’s an attempt to destroy God’s plan.”

Pope Francis is a conservative who is anti-gay marriage and anti-gay adoption. He has described same-sex marriage as the work of the devil and a “destructive attack on God's plan.” He has also said that gay adoption is a form of discrimination against children.

But it certainly fine to have priests that have sexually abused children REMAIN priests. 

The Catholic Church, along with other fanatical, radical, extremist religious zealots that believe they are the center of a society are simply arrogant Neanderthals. These fundamentalists WILL be meeting their ice-age. Education will triumph. Not in my lifetime, but I am sooooo glad that I am on the right side of history.

McCain Should Be More Like Rand Paul

Actually, what defeated poor McCain was Palin. I was leaning toward voting for him before that move. The Republicans did not do their homework when choosing her. They never asked her the right questions. Like what she knew about foreign policies. She actually believed that the reason we went in Iraq was because IRAQ attacked us on 911. She didn’t even know basics on our own Federal Reserve.

Choosing her was a knee jerk reaction to Hillary’s popularity. They were looking for someone that could pull the woman’s vote and the lndependents.

McCain has integrity. During his campaign he was appalled that people were calling Obama a Muslim and in bed with terrorist. I always liked McCain. Sure wish he had chosen Liebraman as his running mate. (Lieberman was also a choice in his campaign headquarters.) I really think he would have had a chance to beat Obama. Actually, I was hoping Hillary would have jumped the Democrat ship and run as McCain’s VP choice. Then for sure he would have won.

Palin was a good speaker and actress but scary to be that close to anything in Washington. Even McCain’s campaign found that out early on. They knew they were doomed. Very sad.

GOP: Obama Has Done Nothing

Yep.  Lets not let anything get done so we can call the President the worst thing that has happened to the country.  After all, he shouldn't be President.  He's only half white.  Our beloved Tea Party tells us he wasn't born in this country, he is a Muslim, a communist, a fascist, and the next Hitler that wants to take all our guns away.  The Tea Party has no agenda.  Everything they say is true.  They out it on the internet.  Of course it is true.  Therefore, we have every right to ruin the country and blame it on him.  That way we can "take our country back".

Republican Party: "We have to stop being the stupid party."

Finally the Republican Party has come out and stated:  "We have to stop being the stupid party."

Funny, the day after they released this statement, FOX fired Palin.  Coincidence???  It's a start. . . . . 

And something else funny -->  They put a Hispanic man to give the rebuttal to the President's Union Speech. . . . . Don't they know how transparent that attempt was?  They lost the Hispanic vote, and so now they are trying to say, see, we like Hispanics, we have them in our party.

Guess they think we are as stupid as they are.  Keep trying Republican Party.

First, however, get some people in charge that can run things better than those who don't know how to do their homework. Example:  Finding Palin to run with poor McCain.  Didn't do your homework there, did you.  Shot yourselves in the foot in your frantic and REALLY stupid attempt to get the women's vote from all of us who supported Hillary.  WE ARE NOT STUPID!!!!!!!!!  Just like the Hispanics aren't stupid.  Just because you put a Hispanic in front of the camera does not mean you know what is best for Hispanics.

You have to put you money where your mouth is, Republicans!!!!

Obama is a socialist Muslim?

Recently I was asked if I think I am “God” because I disagree, and have been able to show facts, that the following is not true:

·         Obama is a socialist Muslim who is not a U.S. citizen and wants to destroy America.

·         The liberals and Democrats want to take everyone’s guns away.

·         Gays are sinners and don’t deserve the same rights as other Americans who are not gay.

·         Hunting and killing of wildlife is necessary for the environment in order to keep down the population of wildlife.

·         The U.S. Muslim postage stamp was issued by Obama, not in 2000 during the Bush administration.

·         The reason kids are being shot in schools is because the schools don’t have mandatory Christian prayers in them.

·         The founding fathers made the United States a Christian nation.

·         The liberals and Democrats are destroying Christmas.

·         We should only say Merry Christmas, NOT Happy Holidays.

Now, since I am Wiccan, it is rather impossible that I can consider myself a “God”.  As for what “God” thinks, well, I will leave that to the radical Christians in this country, because they seem to have some kind of direct link to what “God” wants.

Post note:  When visiting with my relatives, after the loss of my cousin Betsy, we were discussing the above situation. They also found this an enigma.  My Aunt Ruth gave the following advice:  “Don’t try.  Just look at it as an anthropological study.”  Thank you O Wise One.  J  Although I have always lived by, “To Ignore is to Condone”, I will attempt to take your advice.
